
Managing director of Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC, Mr. Vikas Gupta said that the government is chalking out a plan to invest Rs. 4800 crores in order to build infrastructure for the global city.
A series of consultations were held by the Chief Minister of Haryana, Manohar Lal Khattar with developers of Delhi NCR, Bangalore, and Mumbai to develop a Global City on the 1003 acres of land located near Dwarka Express in Gurugram.
Mr. Vikas Gupta said CM is proactively involved in the upcoming world-class city with the first phase starting in July. Infrastructures like road and metro connectivity, helipads etc are also being considered. For the upcoming city, special attention is being paid to making it sustainable and environment friendly, while making it a multi-modal logistic part. The ‘Walk to work’ concept will be followed by keeping the land mixed-use and having commercial and residential developments.
Chief Minister of Haryana said that Global city will attract more investors to Gurugram which is already in the process of becoming a focal point for investors in Haryana.
Mr. Sahil Vachani, MD & CEO of Max Ventures and Industries said that the group accolades the government of Haryana’s paradigmatic vision to develop 1000+ acres in planned format to create a contemporary and emblematic city. It was an unprecedented stratagem to invite and engage participation and inputs from major players in the sector including Max Industry. At the meeting, the group stressed the requirement of government intervention and changes in the policy like mandatory regulations to enforce green building Gurgaon master plan and for achieving set environmental standards and certifications to chase the goal of a sustainable city envisaged by the government.
Mr. Mudassir Zaidi, executive director – north, Knight Frank India said the developer has helped HSIIDC in performing three road shadows, and based on the response received from the industry, large plots are in demand and are preferred. The developers have expressed interest in the Haryana government’s plan of creating a city within a city where everything will be available within reach.
