The residents of the Delhi Kathputli Colony were situated in slums. The restoration program commemorated the nation’s 75th anniversary of independence with enthusiasm and zeal on Monday. By the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ project, the multi-story residences, that will be given across to the benefactors shortly, were lit in tricolour on the anniversary.

These apartments are outfitted with all current amenities and infrastructures, such as provision for RO drinking water, 100% water recycling, high-speed data and Wi-Fi, and any other modern amenities that can be imagined in high-tech complexes.

Thus, according to Raheja Builders, the builders who are responsible for the construction of the flats will hand over nearly 700 EWS apartments with cutting-edge performance standards. Almost 2,800 families will be provided with flats as part of a public-private partnership (PPP) between both the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) and Raheja Developers in Delhi.

The DDA undertook three deconstruction operations in Delhi Kathputli Colony to vacate the area, with the scoring possession taking place in November 2017. To carry out the in-situ restoration operation, all residences in the neighbourhood were demolished. People were relocated to transit shelters in the Anand Parbat and Narela regions.
