Union Transport and Highway Minister, Mr. Nitin Gadkari announced that the construction of Dwarka Expressway Gurgaon which is long waited for, will take place on Independence Day, 2022. An elevated road which measures about 29 km, lying between Shiv Murti(Delhi) and Kherki Daula (Gurugram), on National Highway 8, is the world’s longest elevated road. 18.9 km of this eway falls in Gurugram, the project being a 8-lane grade separated road. Three service lane road has also been built on each side of the highway with four multi-level interchanges and crossroad underpasses at major intersections.
Over the few years Dwarka Expressway has become one of the most esteemed and opulent places in Gurugram. The area has become more exclusive and luxurious due to many standard developments by renowned developers. Popular developers like Tata, Godrej, Sobha, Shapoorji Pallonji, Signature Global, Hero Group, ATS, and Puri Constructions have taken up the development of this area.
